Prisoner Slips Out of Police Custody on Trip To Restroom
posted (January 6, 2017)
In February of last year, police searched Eugene Bailey and found an unlicensed .38 revolver with four live rounds. Bailey appeared in the Magistrate's Court today, where he was found guilty. He was sentenced to 5 years for each offense, both of which will be served concurrently.

After his sentencing, police took Bailey to the Queen Street Police Station holding cell. While there, he was allowed to go to the bathroom without an escort. Bailey used the lack of oversight to escape from custody.

But he didn't get far and he was captured later this afternoon. He is now back in custody pending a charge of escape.
