"Have you been apprised or kept abreast of the hearings, the senate hearings and the rather grim revelations of corruption that pertain at immigration department?"

"Well, I better take the position of the speaker. Can we wait until the inquiry is concluded and the report is submitted before you ask me to comment in any detail?"
"What is happening is public and conclusions are no doubt being drawn and facts are in the public domain. I don't think there is any need for assistance from me for that process."

"But again, I love the way you deploy/employ these characterizations. Of course we talk about matters at cabinet and I'm not trying to dodge any bullet, but your characterization seems to be generalized. While I am concern about the whole issue and particularly concerned about ministers and quite frankly, let's leave Mr. Penner aside. I don't know that I have heard anything that would suggest to me that any minister has been guilty of any kind of actionable corruption. There are some terrible appearances. From what I have seen, you might want to question people's judgement. You might even want to draw some conclusions that some of us might say are ineluctable, but that's not the same as evidence that is convincing that ministers engage in wrong doing."
