26 year old Baron Anderson, a sailor residing at 55 John Smith Street, Belama Phase 2, was acquitted of a charge of sexual assault today by Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser.
The complainant, Charlotte Roches, a cashier at Raccoon Street Police Station, testified that at 9:30 on New Year's night in 2015, Anderson grabbed her private parts while she was playing a machine at Golden Casino, on Newtown Barracks.
Anderson, testified and admitted that he was at casino standing beside Roches while she was playing the machine but he denied that he sexually assaulted her. He said that he and Roches had a relationship for over 6 months and that it was he who gave her the money to gamble. He said that it was only after Roches lost all the money he gave her and he refused to give her more that she assaulted him.
