posted (February 2, 2017)
47 year-old Vanzie Lamb, a landlord from Barracat Street, is out on bail tonight following an allegation from one of his tenants that he burglarized her.

20 year-old Tahira Theus, reported to police that sometime between January 15 and January 31, Lamb broke into her room - which she was renting from him - and stole several of her belongings to a total value of $1,000. Police investigated the report, charged him with burglary, and today, he was arraigned before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer.

He pleaded not guilty and explained to the Senior Magistrate that he didn't burglarize her room. He said that Theus owed him $275, which was two months' rent, and she made no attempts to pay him. Lamb said that he broke the lock on her door and put her belongings outside.

Lamb was released on bail of $1,500, and he must return to court on April 5.
