Today the Museum of Belize celebrated its 15th anniversary in style, with the opening of an exhibition celebrating the little known history of Black Mexico.
Created in collaboration with the Mexican Embassy in Belize, it's called "El Cimarron y su Fandango", and it uses photographs to show the history of Afro-Mexicans from the days of the slave trade to the present. The Museum's Director, Alexis Salazar, and Mexican Embassy representative, Diego Sampien, told us more about the educational importance of this new exhibit...
Schools from all over the country will be visiting the museum to view the exhibit.
