GOB Served Vega’s Attorney, Compensation Lawsuit Coming Along
posted (February 28, 2017)
Last week Friday, we Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte, and Acting Solicitor General Nigel Hawke told the media that Government's lawyers were having difficulties serving the lawsuit documents on Andre Vega, because they couldn't find him.

As we've reported, the Government is going after Vega and Sharon Pitts in court to try and force them to give back 400 thousand dollars each, for land compensation that they should not have received.

Well, this evening, the Solicitor General confirmed to us that the Government has served the papers on Vega's attorney, Estevan Perrera, yesterday.

The Government has filed the claim form in the Supreme Court, and both Andre Vega and Sharon Pitts will have to acknowledge service within 14 days. 28 days after that, they will have to file their defense, and shortly after that, the court will schedule a date for case management.

So, in about 6 weeks, the case against both defendants should start. We'll keep monitoring it
