Last week, we showed you how Belize's National Team was performing well in 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Well, the results are in, and the final tallies say that Belize came 13th out of the 16 teams who competed.
As we told you, on Friday, Belize was in the running for 9th place, but they had 2 weekend games against Barbados and Turks and Caicos. Belize won both those games, but overall, they placed 13th. Still, there was some cause for celebration because Belize's Marlon Mesa tied with Mexican Footballer Jose Ramon Maldonado Alonso for the most goals scored in the tournament.
They were both given the Golden Boot Award.
