In other news from the northern frontier, the Mexican military had major problems their side of the Belize - Mexico bridge this weekend with some very upstart cross border smugglers. Now, this is the old bridge, between Subtiniente Lopez and the Free Zone, where there had been a showdown between defiant Mexican smugglers and the Belize Customs some weeks ago. But this time, the Mexican Military was called in to deal with the same problem on their side. As you can see, the persons there showed open defiance of the military and taunted them.
Mexican news reports say they were trying to arrest someone. Belizean authorities did not get involved.
