Mother Of Two Will Be Raised From Coma With Bullet Still Lodged In Brain
posted (March 16, 2017)
Now we have an update on the condition of Camille Munnings. The mother of two was shot in the head in Caye Caulker early last week. Munnings was put into a medically induced coma to reduce the trauma to her brain and has been fighting for her life since. While there is still a bullet lodged in her head, we received some good news today. According to her sister, doctors have decided to bring her out of the coma. They are letting the process happen naturally, and expect her to regain consciousness sometime this weekend.

After she wakes up, more tests will have to be conducted to determine exactly how extensive the damage to her brain was. Doctors are also debating whether or not they should remove the bullet, as extracting it could do more harm than good.

Munnings' family will be holding a barbeque in Belize City on Saturday to raise money to help pay for her treatment. They will be on Central American Boulevard across from Gadgets.
