Today the BNTU gained another ally against the Ministry of Education. In a press release, the Christian Worker's Union announced their support for the BNTU against what many are calling government union busting.

This comes after Minister of Education Patrick Faber announced his plan to award $1 million dollars to the teachers who didn't participate in the BNTU's 11 day strike last October, as well as for the teachers who made up the lost days during the Christmas holiday.

The CWU joins the PUP in its condemnation of the government's decision, stating that it sees no justification for the payments, especially in this challenging economic climate.
