Six Years Later, Jeffrey Flowers Didn't Want Justice for Joseph
posted (April 6, 2017)
35 year-old Jason Joseph, the man who was charged with the near fatal shooting of Jeffrey Flowers, was freed of all criminal charges yesterday. That's when the man he is accused of shooting, refused to show up and testify against him.

You may remember the incident from over 6 years ago on July 29, 2011. Jeffrey Flowers, who was once a known street figure was injured in the back, and the damage was so severe that he was left paralyzed and wheelchair bound.

The shooting happened in broad daylight when Flowers was walking near Housing Minister Michael Finnegan's Amara Street office. That's when a man rode up on bike and opened fire on Flowers, injuring him in the abdomen, the right side of his chest, the right arm, and the left leg. It was the injury to the back which paralyzed him.

He told the investigators that the gunman was Jason Joseph, and yesterday, he was supposed to show up in the trial to testify for the prosecution, but, he never did. That forced Crown Counsel Sherigne Rodriguez have to consider a nolle pros, but she told the court that she was unable to do that. She left the decision in the hands of Justice Adolph Lucas who decided to dismiss the charge of attempted murder against Joseph.
