Alleged Shooter Who Was Shot In The Back Goes To Court in Wheelchair

He was shot in his back - but that didn't stop police from wheeling 30 year old Leroy Goff into court this evening to face charges for shooting a 14 year old.

Goff was shot on on March 23 on San Pedro. The 14 year old boy told police that that he was lying in bed when he heard a loud bang. When he opened his window and looked outside he saw his brother, Delson Paguado holding his chest. There as another loud bang, and that's when his brother began to run. He also told police that the gunman - allegedly Leroy Goff - pointed the gun at him and he ran. Goff was then shot and subdued by neighbors who kept him in custody until the police arrived.

Goff, was pushed into the #1 Magistrate Court in a wheelchair because he cannot walk due to the bullet wound to his back. He was charged with dangerous harm, use of deadly means of harm and aggravated assault. He was remanded because a firearm was used. A preliminary inquiry has been set for July 14.
