Sharing Southern Hideways

As the Easter holiday draws nearer, most Belizeans are finalizing their weekend travel plans. While most will head to the popular islands of San Pedro or Caye Caulker, of the Placentia peninsula while others go inland to Cayo, and overland to Chetumal, fewer will head South to enjoy some of the country's little known attractions. The villages of Monkey River and Punta Negra are two of those obscure getaways. They are located about half an hour away from Punta Gorda, and today our news team went down South to take a look at what these small villages have to offer. Here's a preview of what they learnt...
