Luis Tucker, an unemployed man charged with sexual assault, was sent to jail for 5 years today by the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith after he was found guilty of the charge.
A 25 year old woman testified that she was walking on Mahogany Street when she saw Tucker coming from the opposite direction. He was heading straight for her, and she says she tried to avoid bumping into him. She says she even went to the side of a fence but nevertheless, Tucker brushed past and grabbed her private parts. She said she screamed and cursed Tucker, then she went to the police and reported it. Tucker testified and claimed that it was an accident. He said he accidentally brushed her leg. Chief Magistrate Smith did not believe his testimony and she found him guilty.
