Female Clerk Put Up A Fight In Bella Vista, Got Pistol Whipped

Last night we told you about the robbery and shooting in Bella Vista village in the Toledo District. Well, police say a shot was fired, and a female clerk was injured, but she wasn't shot.

Here's what happened: at about 3:25 in the afternoon, a gunman stormed into the office which houses, Charlton's Cable, western Union and ICB insurance. He ordered 29-year-old clerk Lesli Williams to hand over the cash - but she put up a fight. That's when he pulled out the handgun and hit her in the head - causing the gun to go off. She didn't get shot but she did get a head injury and was rushed to the Independence Polyclinic. He helped himself to the cash pan and for off with $550 dollars. He fled in a blue 4-door D-max.
