Immigration Officer Lindsay Wade made major waves when he appeared in front of the Senate Committee and called on them to bring Mr. Middleton. But it didn't make news years ago when he was robbed at gunpoint. Â
On June 1, 2012, three men robbed Dorian Usher and Lindsey Wade at gunpoint - taking jewelry, cell phones and cash in US and Belize currencies. Well, today, 5 years later, one of the men was convicted. He is 33 year old Ryan Lippo Alvarez, who is presently on remand for a city murder which happened in 2016.Â
In the court room of Senior Magistrate, Sharon Fraser, Alvarez changed his not guilty plea to guilty and was slapped with two - 5 year prison terms - which are to run concurrently so he will only serve 5 years.
His co-accused, Darrington Louriano was gunned down before his case could go to trial while the other co-accused Russell Bernardez maintains a not guilty plea.
Lauriano and Alvarez who were charged jointly with two counts of robbery for robbing Usher while all three men were charged jointly with robbing Wade.
