A seven year old San Pedro resident is missing after being allegedly abducted by her grandmother. Hade Anaide Chacon dropped her 7 year old, Hamy Alena Reyes, at her babysitter's house on Saturday night before going out. On Sunday morning at around 11:00, Chacon, went to go pick Hamy up, but was told that she had gone to church with the sitter and her children. Chacon waited at the house for another hour until the other children returned. They told her that Hamy had gone with her grandmother.
Chacon continued to wait until about 5:00 in the evening, and then went to her sister's house where her mother, Maria Quixchan, was staying. But when she got there, her sister told her that Quixchan took Hamy with her to Guatemala earlier that morning. She did not give her mother permission to take Hamy out of the country. Chacon suspects that her daughter is in San Andres Peten, Guatemala, where her mother is presently living.
If anyone has any information on Quixchan or Hamy's where abouts, they are asked to contact the police. Hamy is 7-year-old, of a light complexion, and has dark brown hair and eyes.
