Tonight, reports say another man has been killed in Corozal. This time it's in Chunox village in Northeast Corozal, and initial reports say he was shot by the police. We have these images posted by a resident on Facebook. It happened about an hour ago and information is very sketchy at this time, but reports from the village say that police were trying to evict the man from the house, and that he ran after them with a machete. Police responded with multiple gunshots - the impressions of which can be seen on parked vehicles and wall surfaces. One of those shots hit the machete man and he reportedly died on the spot. The man had apparently been allowed to stay in the house, and then when the owners wanted him out, he didn't want to move. Police were called, and deadly force was used in the confrontation. Again, information is very preliminary at this time - and we'll have more on Monday.
