Abel Lara appeared in the Magistrate's Court today where he was charged with unlawful sexual intercourse. The victim and her mother reported to the Ladyville Police that Lara had sex with her in March of last year. No plea was taken because it is an indictable offense, and court could not offer him bail either. Lara was remanded into police custody until August.
