Take A Walk On the Northside
posted (June 14, 2017)

Northside police also held their weekly meet and greet session. They were in the Belama Phase 4 area and the officer commanding precinct 4 Assistant Superintendent Francisco Ack told us the residents are quite content with peace in their area but it’s not all picture perfect. Ack told us what residents on Apollo Street are asking for.

ASP Fransico Ack - Deputy OC, Precinct 4
"At this moment we are doing meet and greet within phase 4 of the Belama jurisdiction and we are currently on Apollo Street, we are meeting with the members of the community asking about their concerns, if they have any but so far we receive positive remarks from them, they are happy with the work that the police is doing in their area and they feel safe because they see the presence of the police on a daily basis day and night. One of the concerns as a matter of fact that was raised by one of the residence earlier this afternoon when we start this venture is the lighting condition of Apollo Street. One citizen or one resident commented that when fight would break out sometimes they would look for dark areas where they wait for their opponents. For example the corner of the street where he resides the are a line of lamp post on that street and several of the lamp post are without lamps and that is one major concern he raised to us and we promised the residence we would contact the other agencies to get them on board so we could light up the area and make our citizens safer to live."

Ack told us their newly assigned vehicles help them to get around more in the area.
