An associate of the Castro brothers is in big trouble with police tonight.
Yesterday, just before 11 in the morning, the Mobile Interdiction Team was patrolling the West Landivar area when they received a radio transmission notifying them of a suspicious vehicle in the area. The MIT unit then intercepted a gold Kia Spectra driven by 22 year old Gian Espadas. The officers searched the vehicle and found a large black plastic bag on the floor of the passenger side containing about 12 pounds of marijuana. Espadas was arrested and charged for drug trafficking.
You may remember Espadas from his involvement in last week's "Castro Boys Scandal". Espadas was caught alongside Wasani and Jafari Castro transporting 89 cases of contraband beer. The Castros are the sons of Cabinet Minister Edmund Castro. Espadas, the Castros and another accomplice agreed to settle that matter with customs out of court, but - there's no settlement offered for drug trafficking and he is expected to go to court tomorrow.
