He's moving on up to headquarters in Belmopan, and ACP Chester Williams got a proper send off today from his fellow officers at Eastern Division. A ceremony was held at the Raccoon Street Police Station to honor him for his work on the Southside for the past two years. In his farewell speech Williams had a special parting message for the Southside gangs and his colleagues.
Dianne Finnegan, who works closely with Williams on the mentorship program and gang intervention, also pleads with both the new commander and the gangs to stay with this approach:
Williams takes command of the Professional Standards Branch in Belmopan next week.
