Today prominent Belizean attorney and brother of the Prime Minister, Denys Barrow, officially assumed his seat as a Justice of the Caribbean Court of Justice. Barrow, who has practiced law for over 4 decades, was selected over candidates from throughout North American and East Europe.
Aside from his practice in Belize, Barrow has served on multiple international benches, including a short stint on the Belize Court of Appeal. He is one of 7 judges on the CCJ bench.
