Today 24 year old Jose Cocom appeared in the Magistrate's Court where he was charged for robbery. Cocom is accused of holding up a cashier inside La Popular Bakery at gun point and stealing $175 in cash. Shortly after making his escape, Cocom was caught by police, but he told them that his name was Edwardo Diaz, causing the cops to also charge him with a mischievous act, which he pled guilty to. He was fined $100 for that offense.
Cocom then pled not guilty to the charge of robbery, but because the act was committed with a firearm, the could not offer him bail. He was remanded into custody until September.
