posted (July 12, 2017)
Tonight Orange Walk police have two men detained for 25 pounds of marijuana which was intercepted this morning aboard the Belize Parcel and Mail Service known as BPMS. At 10:00 this morning, the company's cargo truck was heading to the city from Corozal - when, acting on intelligence, police intercepted it at the Establo Roundabout which is at the northern entrance of Orange Walk Town. They found this large blue container onboard containing 23 pounds of weed. They also found another one kilo stash stowed inside the vehicle. And while it is a courier service, which can have packages from various sources, police believe that the driver and the sideman had specific knowledge of this package - and so they were detained pending charges. They are 31-year-old driver Jose Garcia and sideman 30-year-old Brian Hernandez both of Halls Layout Corozal Town.
