Earlier this week we told you about the murder of 16 year old Julian Tun, who was shot dead in San Pedro over the weekend. Police say that the motive for the shooting is still unclear, but police suspect that Tun was targeted after he was accused for attempting to kill a senior George Street figure last year.
The news tonight is that CIB investigators were able to track down and detain a Belize City man who they believe is connected to the murder. When the cops apprehended the man, he allegedly gave them a false name, but police soon identified him as Guzberry Bowen, and charged for a single count of committing a mischievous act.
Bowen was supposed to have been taken to San Pedro this evening to be processed and profiled as a suspect in the murder, and he could be arraigned as early as tomorrow. We'll keep following the case.
Tun was lured to his death by a female who said she would meet with him on San Pedro.
