Driver Jose Garcia and his sideman Bryan Hernandez who work for Belize Parcel and Mail Service have been charged for drug trafficking. Police intercepted the pair yesterday just outside Orange Walk town when they searched a BPMS Cargo truck headed from Corozal to Belize City. the truck was full of all kinds of cargo, but police had intelligence saying that the two men had a specific package of marijuana. Sure enough, the cops found 23 pounds in a large rectangular box, and 2 pounds stashed separately. Police concluded that the two were directly responsible for the packages - and charged them today. Up until this morning, the cargo truck was held and it was being searched by the K-9 unit. Police suspect that this kind of operation had been happening for some time.
