BPMS Workers Get Bail
posted (July 14, 2017)
Since Wednesday we've been reporting on the two mail couriers for BPMS who were busted with 25 pounds of weed just outside Orange Walk. The weed was in a large rectangular box inside the cargo truck. Police say the weed was not a piece of cargo, but a package that the driver 31-year-old Jose Garcia and sideman 30-year-old Brian Hernandez were responsible for.

They were charged for drug trafficking and denied bail in Orange Walk Magistrate's Court yesterday, but today in the Supreme Court Justice Denis Hanomansingh offered them bail of $5,000 dollars each. The two Corozal residents met bail and were free to go. They must report to the Corozal Police Station every Friday, commencing next week, and they must attend Orange Walk Magistrate's Court as required.

Hernandez and Garcia were represented by attorney Oscar Selgado while the Crown was represented by Crown Counsel KIleru Awich.
