For the past 4 years now, community activist Perry "Stix" Smith has been on a sort of crusade with his Days of Healing initiative.
He and his supporters have been going into the gang-ridden communities to host family days as a sort of ointment to sooth the deep wounds in those communities who have lost loved-ones to gun violence.
On Sunday, he's back at it again, and this time, he's teaming up with Erwin X, on a Day of Healing dedicated to the memory of Andrew Bennett, the popular DJ known as "Hard Rock". He was gunned down and killed in May, and these activists say that a Day of Healing eat the Iguana Street Court could alleviate the pain of his loss.
They dropped by this morning to tell us about how their 46th Day of Healing will go:
