posted (July 18, 2017)
Police say they will close Hammon Lemoth's murder case soon. Lemoth died last Thursday, 7 weeks after he was shot to the head at the One Love Barber Shop. Lemoth was trimming a client when a gunman barged in and opened fire. He was hit to the head by one of nine bullets. Today Senior Superintendent Mark Vidal gave us a brief update on this case.

Sr. Supt. Mark Vidal, OC, Southside Commander
"So now there is a murder investigation. We are seeking suspects in that matter as well. The investigation is ongoing and we pretty much have an idea as to who the person is. So it's just a matter of putting that together then we shall be making an arrest very shortly."

Police didn't want to disclose much details regarding the motive in this case as yet. But his family has posted online that it was the product of a gang rivalry where gang members from the barber shop's immediate neighborhood had warned Lemoth not to trim young men from another rival neighborhood. Lemoth - who is originally from Ontario Village was innocently caught in this crossfire.
