The Belize Festival of Hope is coming to town with as much hype as Jesus had when he descended into Jerusalem. It's a religious event - but that doesn't mean it's austere and reserved. Today the Church paraded through town with religious soca music booming on the speakers. All english speaking churches in the Belize District were invited - especially young people.
It's preparation for the event, which starts properly on Thursday with a kids festival and a youth festival, culminating over the weekend with the Festival of Hope.
