Cowpen taximan, Ernesto Cadle has been charged for knocking down and killing motorcyclist Benedicto Mendez. Cadle was charged with Causing Death by Careless Conduct, Manslaughter by Negligence, Drove Unlicensed Motor Vehicle, Drove Motor Vehicle with alcohol concentration above prescribe Limit and Drove without due care and attention. The accident happened on Monday night around 7:00. Cadle was driving his Isuzu Rodeo from Cowpen junction to Independence when he knocked Mendez off his motorcycle between miles 36 and 37. Mendez died on the spot.
