Regional Volleyball Tournament Starts, Help the Homegirls
posted (July 19, 2017)
The U20 Central American Female Volleyball Championship kicked off this afternoon at the SCA Multipurpose Center. For the rest of the week, Belize will be hosting 6 other teams from across Central America in a head to head tournament to qualify for the Continental Championships. We stopped by the tournament earlier and spoke to the President of the Belize Volleyball Association, Alan Sharp, about why it's important for everyone to come out and support our girls...
The team has been working with the same Cuban coach who helped the Men's National Team take home the bronze in last year's World Championship Qualifiers. Team Belize's first match against Honduras started just a few minutes ago (7:30). They will play two matches tomorrow, the first at 12:30 and the second at 7:30. A ticket for the whole day is ten dollars for adults, five dollars for children.
