A Strange case Of Murder, Or Was It Suicide?
posted (July 24, 2017)
In December 2014, we told you about the shooting death of the American Retiree, 66 year-old Timothy Patrick McNamara. He was found dead on the verandah of his home on the Old Northern Highway.

He was shot in the head with a 9mm pistol belonging to his American wife, Tracy McNamara. She told police that they had been talking in the house about some money problems that they were having. He then went on the verandah, and shortly after, she reportedly heard a gunshot.

She told the police that he shot himself, but police weren't so sure about that at the time. Here's what the then Rural Executive Officer had to say at that time:

FILE: December 29, 2014
Insp. Frederick Gordon
"Well she reported that there was an incident surrounding him, but we could not say at this time or she herself could not say at this time if the person had committed suicide or somebody had shot the person."

Daniel Ortiz, reporter
"Is there any doubt at this time or is there any reason for police to believe that the death that Mr. Mcnamara experienced was not self-inflicted?"

Insp. Frederick Gordon
"At this time the matter is under investigation. I wouldn't like to comment further because as we speak there in an investigation going on into the matter."

Well, since then, the journalists from the American news program, Crime Watch Daily, have done an extensive investigation into the death of Tim McNamara. And, they've found out that he was a wealthy apple farmer from Eastern Washington. His family from the US believe that he was murdered, and they believe that his wife did it.

Crime Watch Daily produced a 27 minute documentary on the case, and they've found salacious backstory to the McNamara's relocating to Belize. Here's an excerpt of their story:

In February of this year, a Grant County Judge ruled that Tracy McNamara did not improperly convince him to give her over $2 million in property and other benefits before his death in the country of Belize in 2014.

That documentary was originally from October 2016.
