Performers Denise Castillo and Cecil "Cocono Bwai" Jenkins Jr are a long way from home - in Astana, Kazakhstan which is in Eastern Europe.
They are part of the EXPORTBelize, BELTRAIDE contingent at Expo Astana, where Belize is one of a hundred countries welcoming an expected 5 million visitors.
They left Belize on Sunday July 23rd, and will return on Wednesday August 2nd after performing cultural music in 30 minute performances, 3 times a day, for 3 days.
Castillo and "Cocono Bwai" were chosen after they worked with EXPORTBelize and Beltraide to develope Electronic Press kits. Those EPK's - as they are called - will be used to securing potential gigs and other business.
The Belize National Dance Company and Project Inebesei are also there. Belize's booth showcases various cultural presentations including attire, food and tourism.
