"Police visited the KHMH and found a female and a male minor suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigation received as that the female and the male minor were addressed on Cleghorn Street when a lone gunman approached and fired shots in their direction hitting them and causing the injuries."

"Do you have any idea of what the shooting may have been motivated by?"

"No, since the inception of the incident the police officers have been conducting the investigation. So far we have not been able to put a finger on the exact motive of that shooting. From what we have made to understand is that yes, there was a minor who was the intended target and unfortunately the female and the other minor were just innocent bystanders. From we got the report there measures taken into place, patrols etc. where put into effect and we have been trying to ascertain what was the motive and who was involved so that we could address it appropriately. However, the investigation still is ongoing and we are looking at it."

"Are you treating this incident as a gang related shooting?"

"Like I said, I don't want to be speculating here. We have not been able to identify or put a finger on the motive at this time. I don't want to say its gang related when it's not and we do not have a suspect at this point. We do not know if it's a group. We are still investigating and if we don't urge that it is gang related then of course we will automatically put in whatever mechanism we need to mediate."

The intended target was a 16 year old, but the one who got hit was a 14 year old who received multiple gunshots according to police.
