On last week Thursday's newscast, we told you how how the Trinidadian Soca superstar, Destra Garcia, had a major fall during a concert in Bermuda. The mishap caused her to break her ankle, and after surgery, she's now recovering.
On Sunday, she made this post Instagram saying, quote, "Could have been worse...Im OK Im on the road to recovery… It's been a crazy 72 hrs. I want to thank everyone who kept me in their prayers. I was in so much pain and so afraid, but thanks to God, all the doctors, nurses and medical personnel, that took great care of me, from Bermuda..." End quote
As we reported, she was performing on last Wednesday night in Bermuda for the Cup Match Summer Splash Concert. It was a major concert with other headline artists, and during her show, she was talking to the crowd when she suddenly fell through the stage. Destra has made news in Belize, because this mishap came weeks after she was found liable for bursting a concert-goers bladder in Belize during a bold dance routine.
