FFB Tries Again
posted (August 9, 2017)

If at first you don't succeed, try and try again.  That’s just what the Football Federation of Belize is pushing to do after their ninth annual congress never got quorum.

Now, the FFB has set up the agenda for an Extraordinary Congress. They’re trying to finalize important football business that was left on the floor during the embarrassing 9th Congress from June 24 and 25 that had to be postponed.

Well, the FFB has scheduled this extraordinary congress for Saturday, September 2, and they’re hoping that this time, enough football delegates will show up so that quorum can be reached.

And they have list of 11 items on their agenda, which includes federation business such as the approval of the budget, a review and approval of the financials for previous years, a review and approval of the strategic plan, the dismissal of several FFB employees, a vote to remove the current electoral committee, and Electoral Appeals Committee, and the re-election of the committee members who will replace the current members.

The will also hold an election for the Ethics Committee.

We’ll be there to tell you how the extraordinary congress goes on that date.
