Murrillo also shared the breakdown in crime by ethnicity. More Creole's and Hispanics are being incarcerated for crime. Here's more.

Virgilio Murrillo, Acting CEO, Belize Central Prison
"When you look at ethnicity, who came to prison for this period mostly Creole and Hispanics. It's just not making any sense at all, it needs to stop, well of course we know the Hispanics is because of illegal entry mostly because 187 of those are pretty much for illegal entry then of course we have the mestizos then the Garifuna's. The other ethnicities are minimal, this chart just shows you more or less what crime these people indulge themselves with. Like I said Creole's are indulging themselves in crimes of dishonesty, a lot of "theif-ing-ness" as they say in Creole and violent offenses. The Hispanics are mostly illegal entry but they have quite a number of crimes of dishonesty if you notice."
