Family Says GSU Pepper Sprayed 2 Year Old
posted (August 15, 2017)
After what they say has been about a week and a half of harassment from the GSU, the Gonguez family is speaking out.

According to the family, the GSU started making regular, hostile visits to their home on Curl Thompson Street around the beginning of the month, when they were hosting a birthday party for one of the toddlers. The Gonguez's say that the GSU told them that they were looking for guns and ammunition and broke up to party to conduct a search. Since then, the GSU have allegedly been stopping by the family's home, and harassing them on a regular basis for no reason. The altercations between the GSU and the family came to a climax yesterday, after the GSU chased a neighbor into their yard, assaulted multiple people, fired shots and pepper sprayed a 2 year old girl. We visited the Gonguez family today and spoke to them about the traumatic confrontation...

Voice of: Ashanda Gonguez - Claims GSU Pepper Sprayed Baby
"Well yesterday when they came apparently they were searching a house around the lane and they had just beat up some young boys by the lane and one of them walk and came around this lane because where the house was that they were searching was like a block away from us. So the young man came this side and apparently the truck followed him. They saw him stop and came in this yard. then some one of the GSU came out with a broom stick first in his hand and then all the rest came out, then the boy came in the yard and said that he is not running from them because he has not done them anything and they just beat him up around the lane. So when he went back to the yard now, it was a big commotion at the gate because my sister didn't want to let them in. So they forced their way in the gate, if you notice the gate is broken because of them yesterday, picked up the 2 by 4 because they want to whop the boy with that then they searched the yard so everybody, all the females bombarded them at the back of the yard and when we reach at the back step, I saw one of them got the gun in the young man face hitting him with the gun with a broom stick. I think the boy's foot was injured. With all of that said and done I was talking to one of the GSU at the back of the yard asking them if they didn't just come here yesterday and what all of this is for? But the crowd gone off with them because of what they did the young man on the back step. so when that happened the same one who had the gun in the boy's face, pulled out a pepper spray and instead of spraying where everyone is he sprayed it down towards the ground where my baby was and lots of little children who were around the ages of 2 to 3 years old playing in the yard with all of those commotion. So when he saw that I went off because he sprayed my baby with the pepper spray he run upstairs in my mother's house trying to hide, because I would have whopped him in his face because I already told them this will be the first and last time they will cross me or the hurt my baby."

Gonguez says that more police showed up to after the incident, and a few helped to clean the pepper spray from the baby's face.
