"It is my great pleasure to be in this beautiful country today to witness the inauguration ceremony of the lighting system for the football pitch of the Marion Jones Sports Complex. It is indeed a beautiful complex. Since its independence Belize has been a strategic partner for Mexico. As you know after Great Britain of course were the first country to recognize its independence and its sovereignty and since then you had been a priority for Mexico. You are one of the only three neighboring countries of Mexico and a privileged friend. Thank you very much Belize. We are joined not only by our short border, but by strong bonds of friendship, trust and solidarity."
