Today 20-year-old Juan Sis appeared in the Magistrate's Court today after being accused of beating a police officer. According to reports, on Sunday PC Sacario Cuz, who is on interdiction, was operating a taxi on Central American Boulevard when he and Sis got into an argument. Things escalated and Sis allegedly beat Cuz, severly injuring him and sending him to the hospital. 

Sis appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser, who did not take his plea because Cuz was still in the hospital. Fraser also denied Sis' bail after an objection from the prosecution on the grounds that Cuz was seriously injured and remains hospitalized. Sis was then remanded into custody until September.
