An over 6 million dollar upgrade project has been signed and now the residents of Santa Elena, Cayo will be able to enjoy new roads. The Works CEO along with Works Minister Rene Montero told us more about the streets that will get immediate attention:

"This is part of the 4th Road Project being sponsored by the Government of Belize and the Caribbean Development Bank and as you can recall we had 4 different lots or sections of work being done under the 4th road project."

"This involves the upgrading of the street, the George Price Highway from Three Flags to the Hawksworth Bridge with sidewalks and electricity… lights in the middle which will enhance and improve the aesthetic view in Santa Elena."

Belize Roadway Company got the 6.9 MILLION dollar contract for this project. It is funded by the CDB.
