Today Jordan Morey appeared in the Magistrate's Court where he was found guilty of obtaining property by deception. According to reports, Crystal Ayala contacted Morey through Facebook last December to negotiate the purchase of a vehicle. According to Ayala's testimony, she agreed to pay Morey $2000 dollars for a Mitsubishi Gallant. When the two met, Ayala alleges that she handed over the money and Morey signed for it under the name, Jason Saldivar. However, Morey never delivered the car to her. Ayala contacted the police as soon as she realized she'd been conned, and the cops managed to track Morey down.
In court today, Morey testified and denied his involvement in the allegations, claiming that he was in Benque Viejo del Carmen at the time. Magistrate Carlon Mendoza did not buy the story and fined Morey $2000. He has until next January to pay up, and if he defaults, Morey will serve 9 months in prison.
