Today the Taiwanese Embassy announced that it will be making a donation of $10,000 US dollars to the Friends for Conservation and Development to assist in the conservation of the Chiquibul National Park. The money will be used to help manage and protect the Chiquibul Cave System by raising management presence and increasing visibility in threatened areas. This is the third straight year that the Taiwanese Embassy has engaged in work to assist with Chiquibul conservation efforts.
