The Pallottine sisters need to raise over 100,000 to demolish their dilapidated convent and you can help by taking part in a telethon. It will be held this Saturday the 26th at the Bliss from 9:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the evening. Now in mid-July we got a tour of the run-down convent. The sisters told us they have to stay in the rooms in the infirmary until they get another place to live. So they are asking the public to donate to this worthy cause. Today the sisters held a press conference to invite everyone out.

"The Pallotti Convent is about 99.9 emptied and it is about to be demolished. It easier said than done it is a very painful experience and so we are appealing to the public to help us in this experience and to help us in this crisis we can't put our heads in the sand and close up and say well that is the end. Crises are there so that we can grow, so that we can master them and we can overcome them so we are appealing to the public to help us overcome this crisis."
"And so the demolishment is about to take place hopefully if on the 26th of this month we do get our finance because the amount of money that is being asked to demolish what we have worked for in 100 years is really out of our reach so if we do get the money and when we do get the money then the house will get demolished but that is just half of the process because we need to continue to live, the hands and feet of Jesus need to continue to serve this nation and so we need to have a house to live."
