Police ID Body Found, Family Grapples With Loss
posted (August 24, 2017)
The body that was found yesterday afternoon has been identified as 25 year old Linton Broaster-Wilshire. His family had to bury him last night- no coffin, no funeral service because his body was starting to decompose. They didn't have any other choice. And it's that tragic and devastating end that his family now has to come to terms with. Today Courtney Weatherburne met with the family who is now left wondering...why.

Veree Hyde, Cousin
"Linton was here, he came Monday afternoon because he wanted me to plat his hair and then I was cooking so he asked Cristina, the next cousin to plat his hair and she went out for her mom and he dropped asleep right here in my chair. He get up off the chair like an hour after, he went to hail his aunt, came back, drank water and he just walk and went."

Courtney Weatherburne reporting
Although that afternoon visit was uneventful, those were the last moments Hyde spent with her cousin Linton Broaster-Wilshire. And all they have now are those memories of time with him.

Wilshire's body was found yesterday afternoon near mile 3 on the Western Highway. He had a large cut wound to the throat and according to his family the post mortem also shows that he was bashed to the head. The information is that he was killed somewhere else and his body dumped at the garbage site. Now police are searching for clues at his Neal's Pen Road house- where his family says he lived alone.

ASP Alejandro Cowo, OC - CIB
"The police went to his house and they observed some irregularities at the house so we are looking at the angle if there was a possibility he was taken out of his house either Monday night or Tuesday morning."

And police will have to rely on their leads and information because the family has no idea who would want to kill Wilshire or why.

Courtney Weatherburne, reporter
"Did he ever speak to you about any problems he had with anybody did you hear of any issue he might have had with a person?"

Veree Hyde, Cousin
"No I don't know of anything like that because he is not really problem people, he work, he lives for his two daughters, his sister he doesn't give trouble."

And now his two little girls and his only sister will suffer without him.

Voice of: Tanesha Wilshire, Sister
"When I got there I saw him it was devastating because I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye, didn't even get a chance to see my brother for the last time, my brother is a loving person, he was so sweet, everybody loved him he was so helpful he was so hard working, everybody could depend on him so I don't know why they would want to do him that. For me I just leave everything in God's hands. I can't get him back, he is already gone and I just hope he rests in peace."

Wilshire leaves behind 2 young girls. Police are looking into all leads and we will keep you updated in this case.
