posted (August 25, 2017)
On Wednesday eyewitnesses saw a body being thrown out of a boat in the sea in front of Rock Park on Princess Margaret Drive.

A day later, the body of 18-year-old Taylor's Alley resident, Crevan Cardinez washed up in the same vicinity. Reports say that there was a struggle before he was thrown off the vessel, and now the cops are trying to figure out what happened on that boat. The CIB Commander told us more.

ASP Alejandro Cowo - OC, CIB
"So far we have nothing much. Finally we were able to get a family member sometime last night and hence the reason we divulge the name of the person late on that night. The family member were was not notified until sometime after 7-8 last night a family member came forward to actually confirm the identity of the person."

"In terms of the investigation…detentions?"

Supt. Alejandro Cowo
"So far no we have not detained anybody but we are looking for 2 male persons that can assist us in the investigation at this time."

Reporter
"Sir I understand that the vessel may have been identified and is linked to a very affluent person, if that is true has that vessel been reported stolen and is the police looking at theta individual or will he be investigated?"

Supt. Alejandro Cowo
"We have a slight description of the vessel but however we have not had anything conclusive to tell us it is this vessel. We just have a barely description of the vessel at this moment. Based on what we have gathered so far and the information that we have."

Reports say that the boat operator of a prominent Belize City family has been detained.
