The law to decriminalize possession of small quantities of marijuana may be before the House of Representatives, but growing it is still illegal. That's why Stann Creek Police are making news of the fact that they conducted an operation where they found and burnt ten mature trees at a reserve in the vicinity of the Maya Center village.
The police also found several different sizes of board from timber that had been harvested without a permit.
