Mother Fears Teenaged Son Dead
posted (September 1, 2017)
17-year-old Erwin Paulino Rodriguez has been missing for eight days, and tonight his mother believes that her son has been killed. The teenager lived on Ground Dove Street in Belize City with his family - but no one has seen him since last Thursday at 1:00 in the afternoon when he was riding a bicycle.

But, no one knows where he ended up after that and his family has been frantically searching for him and putting up "missing person" posters all across the city.

Today, we found them searching in the Jane Usher area where his mom said that he had left home before but never for this long:

Voice of: Sylvia Rodriguez, Mother
"He went missing from last week Thursday afternoon."

Sahar Vasquez, reporter
"And you've been searching for your son since then, so you've been searching around the Jane Usher Boulevard area? Anywhere else?"

Sylvia Rodriguez
"We searched from Monday for the whole morning back here and today again, but up to now we only found one of his slippers."

Sahar Vasquez, reporter
"Where did you find the slipper?"

Sylvia Rodriguez
"At the back of Dykes."

Sahar Vasquez, reporter
"Where do you think your son could be right now?"

Sylvia Rodriguez
"Good question."

Sahar Vasquez, reporter
"If your son is watching, what would you like to say to him?"

Sylvia Rodriguez
"Please return home, because the family is worrying. But I know my son is not alive. I know my son already passed away already."

Sahar Vasquez, reporter
"Will you continue the search for your son, you won't give up?"

Sylvia Rodriguez
"I won't give up. Tomorrow I am coming back again."
